Steve Jones – Managing Director

The Former Chief Executive of a large UK based national drug and alcohol charity with over 20 years’ experience in the development and management of services that change lives and tackle health related issues, Steve has an extensive background in the development of quality outcomes in care.

With a background in the development of services in Local Government and NHS, Steve is committed to quality outcomes and effective delivery that ensure quality, growth, change and innovation remain key to the company’s vision.

Passionate about services that make a difference to lives and communities, Steve has developed a range of health and wellbeing services across the UK that develop solutions and innovative services in disability and learning difficulty, LGBT Support Services, NHS Solutions to Emergency Care and enterprises that support employment opportunity for those furthest from the labour market.

As an employer, Steve recognises only too well the importance of a healthy workforce and continually seeks to support local businesses with their challenges. Productivity and securing key investment already made in senior personnel is a fundamental part of Steve’s passion for local business

As the Responsible Individual for Hygrove with the UK’s Care Quality Commission (CQC), Steve is committed to ensuring Hygrove provides a first class, safe, quality service for all our members.


Stuart Croft – Operations Director

With 20 years in senior leadership roles across the Health & Social Care sector in the UK and overseas, Stuart has gained extensive experience in the treatment of addictions with some of the UK’s largest Charities. He is a member of the Chartered Management Institute, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Development and a Diploma in Counselling.

As a consultant to local and national government, Stuart has published work on Motivational Enhancement Therapy, developed alcohol interventions for the National Offender Management Service and authored Gloucestershire’s five year drug and alcohol strategies.

In 2014, Stuart was part of the ECE European Knowledge Exchange based in the rehabilitation services of the Czech Republic. He has a strong portfolio in the management and delivery of innovative drug and alcohol treatment programmes, including directing the aftercare provision in Europe’s largest treatment system, in Birmingham.

Stuart is a Board Member of the Gloucestershire Voluntary Sector Assembly and an independent board member for a large adoption agency. Stuart will lead a new multi-disciplinary team of expert recovery staff at The Hygrove and with qualifications in rock climbing and sailing will also spearhead the outward-bound programme and be The Hygrove’s resident fishing guide.

Given the new, ground-breaking rehabilitation methodology we are practising at The Hygrove, we have in place an excellent clinical delivery team. This will ensure all clients receive the best possible clinical assessment and prescribing treatments. The Hygrove employs a range of specialist Consultants, Doctors and Nurses highly experienced in the management and treatment of substance mis-use, mental health and disorders.
